Here are a selection of some of my favourite restaurants in Amsterdam. In no particular order. Best to make reservations ahead of time; Through their website or try the ZenChef App. This selection is midrange to
fine-dining. Hope you find a spot that suits your palette and occasion.
 BOX SOCIAAL, Restaurant for brunch & dinner, €€. What we like about the place- great spot for an Ozzie brunch with cocktails by the canal. The Jordaan location also does dinner, a great selection on the menu. |  TREES, Restaurant, €€€. What we like about the place - from the chefs at Gertrude, comes this stunning little spot in the centre. The chef’s menu is crafted with delicate and flavorful dishes, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail. The kitchen takes center stage. Take a seat at the kitchen table. Check out their intimate cocktail bar in the basement for drinks after. |  JUNO, Restaurant €€€. What we like about the place- Vibes on point at this new spot in De Pijp. With killer cocktails and a standout menu, shoutout to the cool staff— don’t miss the chicken, white asparagus, or monkfish. Total gem. |

With a plant-based Chef's menu. Inspired by childhood memories of the chef, made with fresh seasonal produce. Its light, its delicious. |
 ROUX, Restaurant €€€, What we like about the place - An elegant french restaurant on the lively Westerstraat. Great flavors, love the menu, the staff and good vibes all around. |  STACKS DINER, Restaurant. €€. What we like about the place - American style cooking in the heart of Amsterdam. Diner vibe, hip crowd. Get the fried chicken in a biscuit. |  LE PETIT PECHE, restaurant, €€. What we like about the place- chefs menu or a la carte, french cooking. Well curated dishes by young chefs, good vibes. |
 DE WILLEM, Cafe, Restaurant €€€. What we like about the place - A beautiful restaurant by the canal, with the best views and a well curated menu. Get a spot on the terrace in the summer, reserve for dinner or walk-in for the cafe. Either way its going to be a perfect summer evening. |  TANNAY, French Restaurant, €€€. What we like about the place - Nestled in a quiet spot by the canal, this elegant space offers a picturesque dining experience. Indulge in either a 5-course tasting menu or an à la carte selection, featuring seasonal, delectable dishes. Impeccable service from the best staff. |  BACALAR, Taqueria, €€. What we like about the place - a super cool taqueria tucked away in the north, with the best tacos. |
 CONTRAST AMSTERDAM, Fine dining, €€€. What we like about the place- A restaurant on a ship. The architecture is minimal and modern, with spectacular views of the harbour and surroundings. The chef's menu is artistically executed. Also has an art gallery in the basement. |  KID AMSTERDAM, Restaurant, €€. What we like about the place- Modern Asian inspired menu. Great vibes, You will want to try everything on the menu. |  KEN SUSHI, Restaurant, €€€. What we like about the place - its Omakase style sushi dining. Essentially a chef's menu with 20 courses, full on taste and umami. The chefs are very knowledgable about the produce and preparation. All the courses are prepped in front of you. A special experience. |
 BOTTLESHOP AMSTERDAM, Wine bar €€. What we like about the place- No wine menu, they suggest wines for you. A small sharing Japanese / Mexican inspired menu. Also check their site for pop-up chef events. |  GITANE, Restaurant, €€. What we like about the place- This is a beautiful new hot spot from a former chef at Ottolenghi. The sharing plates are delicious. Cool vibes, do take a minute to admire the interiors. |  CALISTO AMSTERDAM, Italian dining €€. What we like about the place- A trattoria style italian dining spot. Popular and buzzing, Menu has fresh seasonal dishes. |
 HELLING 7, Restaurant €€€,- what we like about the place- the location is on the NDSM, on the IJ. In an old shipping container, view of the harbour/ marina. Beautiful spot, open fire cooking, so everything on the menu is grilled in some shape or form. Buzzing place, great atmosphere, lovely staff. |  4850, Restaurant €€. What we like about the place- A restaurant / wine bar with shared dining, Nordic inspired a la carte menu. The staff is exceptional. The decor is Scandi cool. |  KIKKIE VAN DE PRINSENSLUIS, Bar & Restaurant, €€. what we like about the place- casual dining. try the smash burger, you won't be disappointed. |
 BINNENVISSER, Restaurant, €€. What we like about the place, the rotating chefs, seasonal menu and the vibes. |  DE JUWELIER, Lunch & Dinner, €€€. Modern french cuisine. What we like about the place - A relaxed no fuss 1Michelin star restaurant. The A La Carte menu has unusual ingredients like oxtail, bone marrow etc. Old school bistro vibes with a fresh approach. |  EUROPIZZA, A pizza restaurant, €€. Don't be fooled by the name, which seems too basic. What we like about the place- It's a cool, super busy pizza spot in the north.  ENTREPOT, Restaurant €€€, A beautiful warehouse turned restaurant at the Entrepotdok. You can pick from a 4, 5 courses or a la carte. What we like about the place- Fresh, seasonal rotating menu. Great wine list aswel. |  GERTRUDE REST & BAR , Modern/seasonal, €€€. What we like about the place- A hip little restaurant in a beautiful setting. Has a seasonal sharing menu. Great for a date night. French bistro vibes all around. |  FOER, restaurant €€€, modern/seasonal. What we like about the place- the location is away from the centre and in a beautiful old building which used to be a tram station. The menu is 6-8 courses, Constantly changing seasonal menu. Flora- veggies, Fauna- Meat. The dishes r small and creative with wine pairing. |
 BAM BOA, Asian inspired menu, €€. What we like about the place- perfect sharing dishes, try the Baos and ceviche, well actually everything was delish! Big lively terrace overlooking the water, great for sunny days. The inside is very hip too. Friendly staff, good service and perfect for people watching. |  SJEFIETSHE, Cevicheria restaurant, €€€. What we like about the place- the staff, the quality of the yummy ceviche, and the quiet location, Tip- reserve a table outside if the weather permits. Try all the ceviches! |  MADRE, Modern mexican, plant based. €€€. What we like about the place- the bustling location, reserve a table outside if the weather permits for people watching. Our fav order- the corn and the Birria quesatacos, the cocktails! |
 MORGAN & MEES, Modern european €€€. What we like about the place- the location and the chic casual interiors. A good varied selection on the menu. A popular spot. Great for people watching. |  JANSZ, Modern Dutch Cuisine €€€, image @jansz.amsterdam. What we like about the place- top location. Fancy dining, great for a special occasion, luxury interiors, solid menu. Also checkout their cocktail bar which makes it a perfect end to an evening. |  CANTINE DE CARON, Brasserie, lunch/dinner €€€, image @cantine_de_caron. What we like about the place- the big industrial space with white table cloths in the westergasterrain/ WesterPark, Great for big groups. A good brasserie menu, good service- Tip get the Seabass for 2. |
 CORNER STORE, Asian Inspired, dining, €€. What we like about the place- if you venture to the north, kinda hidden spot but popular. Creative asian inspired menu which hits the spot. Good service. |  NENE AMSTERDAM, Eastern Mediterranean, dining, €€. What we like about the place- the banging menu, you will want to taste everything. Big space so great for groups and sharing.  HIKAGE, Japanese dining, €€. What we like about the place- a small intimate Japanese restaurant in the middle of the Jordaan. Tasty as hell menu, though small-ish. you will want to try everything. Great service, great for a date night. A good selection of Sakes. Tip- order the NASU DENGAKU- crispy aubergine with miso glaze. |  RESTAURANT DE KAS, Fine dining, €€€€. What we like about the place- set in the most beautiful 8 meter high greenhouse in the middle of the Frankendael park. Farm to table concept, all the produce is mostly grown on site, you can even take a little peek at the vegetable garden. Veggetables are the star of the show with meat and seafood. |  HINATA AMSTERDAM, Ramen lunch/dinner €€. What we like about the place- So much more than ramen. A tasty filling menu, great location, gets busy, popular spot. |
 MEN IMPOSSIBLE, Ramen dining €€. What we like about the place- Vegan ramen, fixed menu which is super delish. It feels like you are dining in the chefs private living room. You share a table with other patrons. |  FOU FOW, Ramen restaurant, €€ lunch/dinner. What we like about the place, All things ramen. One of the best ramen spots in Amsterdam. great menu. Really busy popular spot, No reservations, so you might have to line up outside and put your name on a list to get a table, worth the wait. Middle of the Jordaan. |  BAK, Restaurant, €€€ fine dining with wine pairing. What we like about the place- the food is exceptional, its a chefs tasting menu with several courses but not overwhelming. The main focus is seasonal veggies with some seafood and maybe a meat course. The wines are great too. the location is special, with big windows overlooking the north of Amsterdam with the boats and ships and the open water, insta worthy views. |

 THE DUCHESS, Fine dining, €€€€. What we like about the place- the space is beautiful, with luxury interiors and a magnificent building.  SALMUERA, Peruvian Dining, €€€. |  FOODWARE, Restaurant with a store. What we like about the place- Great selection of healthy meals that you can choose from. They make all the dishes fresh and you can mix and match your mains, sides etc. They also have some cool drinks that you can grab. |  SAJERIA, Lebanese, €. Take out/dining. Image @thelebanesesajeria. What we like about the place- a really good Thai spot in the middle of the Jordaan. The flavours are top notch. popular place gets busy, good service. It won't disappoint. |
